Farjad Nabi is a writer, film producer, director, cinematographer, and documentary filmmaker from Pakistan. Farjad was born in Lahore, Pakistan, in 1969. His first film, Nusrat, has Left the Building... But When? in 1997 made him popular and gave him the second-best film award at Kathmandu's Film South Asia festival. No One Believes the Professor, his second film, premiered at the Film South Asia festival in 1999 and won the Best Film Award. Nusrat has Left the Building... But When? And No One Believes the Professor are two award-winning documentaries directed by Nabi, based in Lahore.
In The Final Touch, he documents the work of the last poster artist in the Lahore film business. For BBC Urdu, Nabi developed and presented Aaj ka Beejal, a musical documentary on Sindh's interior. Annhi Chunni di Tikki (Bread of Chaff & Husk) and Jeebho Jani di Kahani (The Story of Jeebho Jani) are two of his Punjabi stage plays that have lately been presented and published and is currently collaborating with Meenu Gaur on a documentary film and monograph about the Lahore cinema industry, also known as Lollywood.
