Vibhuti Dave is known famously by the character of Trijata in Ramayana. She played the role of an evil demoness who was put in charge of Goddess Sita when she was kidnapped by the Evil God Ravana in Lanka. Before she enrolled in this epic role, Vibuti was a part of a huge garba group who would go around many parts of the country to showcase their singing skills.
That is how the Ramayana’s director came across Vibuti and asked her to attend one of his auditions. He was very much impressed at Vibuti’s dexterity to deliver long dialogues with no hesitation whatsoever. So she was immediately signed in for the crucial role. Unfortunately, she passed away in 2006 and was survived by her husband and a daughter born after several years of marriage.
