Sonalika Joshi was born on 31 December 1969 to a Hindu Family. She was raised in Mumbai and resides there only .
Sonalika is famous for her role in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah which is the longest running television Sitcom in Indian Television. The drama first aired on 28 July 2008 and is running till date. The story revolves around Gokuldham Co-Operative Housing Society in Mumbai which is a heterogeneous society consisting families from many religions like Sikhs, Jains, Gujarati, and Punjabi etc.  She plays character of 'Madhavi Bhide'. She is the wife of Aatmaram Bhide who is a tuition teacher running a middle class life. Bhide’s are a Marathi family. To support her family she runs a small business of pickles and papads which she runs from her home itself and delivers to their customer. Her character in the serial is shown very simple. All the families share love and unity and treat their society as mini India and worship each god and celebrate each festival.
