Shalini Chandran

Known for her role as Maithili in one of the most famous TV show of its time, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii (October 16 2000-October 9 2008), aired on Star Plus, Shalini Chandran is 22 years old, and is from a Tamil background. It was her dream to become an actress, and that is why to pursue this dream she joined television industry. A pretty face and a charming personality helped her in establishing herself in the industry.

Even though she is from a Tamil Background, her command over Hindi and English language is quite good. She said that knowing more than one language helps me have some confidence around people, I can easily talk and express my feelings to everyone surrounding me. She was cast in a TV show, Hamari Betiyoon Ka Vivaah (April 21, 2008 – February 20, 2009), aired on Zee TV. The TV show was based on an ordinary family, a college professor, and his four daughters, one of the daughter’s role was played by Shalini Chandran. She was also cast in Crime Patrol for a few episodes as Arti.
