Anuradha Menon is an Indian theatre artist and television actress. She is known for her alter ego Lola Kutty, a popular VJ on Channel V. Born to Mini and Mohan Menon in Kerala, Anuradha moved to Chennai at an early age. 

Anuradha began performance at an early age as she actively took part in theatre production in her school. She also joined The Madras Players, a group of amateur theatre performers, in her teenage years. With theatre in her heart she attended London School of Drama for a year and moved to Mumbai, which served as a major stage for English theater. Anuradha, throughout her career, was also offered many movie roles in Bollywood but chose to focus on her theatre career. She starred in award winning plays such as, “Sammy!” along with “Only Women”. She has a successful on screen and theatre career.

Anuradha Menon is a famous theater artist and television actress of India. She was originally from the South Indian state, Kerala. She grew up in the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. Both her mother and father Mini and Mohan Menon worked in the field of advertising in industry. Anu started participating in theater productions since she was in school. For some years, she was closely associated with the Indian amateur theater group named The Madras Players. She studied at the London School of Drama for one year. She then went to Mumbai, recognizing that it is the hub of English theater in our country. In Mumbai, she got a chance to break into the Indian theater. She acted in The Verdict as a governess. This acting made her a Lola Kutty on the Television. In the year 2004, she was found by VJ Gaurav of the international music television network named Channel V. He recommended her for the character of Lola Kutty. Though also got many film offers; she says that theater is her priority. She acted in many plays like Sammy, Zen Katha, Only Women, etc. At the PROMAX and BDA India Awards, Lola Kutty character made her win three Golds and one Silver.

She won the Golds for Best Comedy Promo, Funniest Spot, and the Best On-Air Branding categories while the Silver was awarded for the Best Entertainment Promo. Lola Kutty was nominated at the Indian Telly Awards in the year 2006 for the Best Anchor Award Talk Show for. Though she has chosen a different way to achieve this, she wanted to prove that any person from South India did not mean that he or she is a Madrasi, but there might be people from other states too.
