Monika Misra

Monika Misra is an actress who works in the Bollywood film and TV industry, and she is also most renowned for her work in the theatre industry of India. She is one of the most popular actresses working in the theatres today. She started her career in 2006 in theatre. Monika started her theatre journey in Varanasi, where she was born and bred. She started acting in her school days too, where she participated in acting and dance competitions. After her education, she worked with the top theatres in Varanasi.

In 2007, she moved to Delhi to further pursue her career in acting. She started working for MASK Theatre Group, one of the most popular groups in Shankar Market. She starred in plays like ‘Gadhe Ki Barat’, ‘Ek Machine Kabadi Ki’ and ‘Amar Jyoti’. These plays were under the direction of legendary theatre artists Shri Dinesh Ahlawat and Shri Ishwar Pal. She also worked under Shri Veer Bhooshan for the popular play ‘Rashmirathi’. As her name started getting bigger, she was being cast in more and more plays. She starred in other plays like ‘Taj Mahal Ka Tender, Bheja Fry, Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jameya Nai’ and many others where she performed in Mumbai, New Delhi and Hyderabad. Not only she acted, but she also did costume designs, set designs, sound effects, writing and even direction. Her talent started getting more and more recognition and she then started getting work in the TV industry.
