Her mother-in-law comes in between and would not let a widow marriage happen in her family. Slowly and steadily, the husbands convinces her of the benefits of this sort of marriages in the society and the happiness the marriage may bring to Megha. With the progress of the serial the mother-in-law comes out to be a great advocate of widow re-marriage and supports her daughter-in-law very strongly to marry the man of her dreams. Madhuri in an interview said that she identified with the subject and she was also widowed at a very young age in her life, which gave an extra impetus to her performance in the serial.
