Garima has a brother, Raghav Goel. Garima is married to Dharmesh Thakkar and the couple has a son, Aashray. Dharmesh is an ex-journalist.  In 2016, Garima fell victim to a loot attempt. Her servant is said to have spike their food to loot the house. They had a miraculous escape. The servant spent three years in jail and later was acquitted for lack of evidence.
