Dipali Kamat

Dipali Kamat is an Indian film actress well known for her work in Goonj and Agniphera. She was born in a middle-class family in Pune, Maharashtra, India in July 1965. She completed her schooling at Govt. Girls School, Pune. She is a professional dancer herself. She has won many awards including local competitions to national level competitions. She started taking dance lessons when she was five years old. Her mother herself was a dancer and used to teach Dipali Kamat. During her school days, Dipali Kamat always showed a keen interest in dancing and drama. She was part of the dancing group of her school and also in the drama group. She started her film career when she worked in the movie Goonj, directed by Jalal Agha, starring Kumar Gaurav, Juhi Chawla, Tinnu Anand, Sulabha Arya, Dipali Kamat, and many more.

The movie was based on the story where activities get really riled up in the coastal city of Goa. When election time came closer. Two candidates, one, MLA Kalekar, representing the majority of the local-speaking population, and the other, Dennis Pereira, for the local minority-speaking population, are out to prove who will represent the city better. To succeed they are not leaving any stone unturned. Peter was in love with his class-mate Sangeeta Kalekar. He has a friend named Sanjeev Kamat. He secretly loves Sangeeta. Sangeeta is the daughter of local MLA Kalekar. Later, Sanjeev finds out that Kalekar is behind local killings, rioting, and drug supplies, and threatens to expose him. But first, he must clear himself from the false accusation of killing Peter, the man his love intends to marry.

Later, she worked in Agniphera an Indian Television series, produced and directed by Ravi Raj, starring Ankit Bhetiwal as Mac, Amita Choksi as Revati Vidvaan Singh, Divay Dhamija as Shekhar Sharma, Ankit Gera as Anurag Singh. Other artists who played in the series were Simran Kaur as Shrishti Vishesh Singh, Mohawk Khurana as Vishesh ‘Vishnu’ Singh, Dipali Kamat as Shrishti’s mother, and much more. The plot of the series is based on the story of Shrishti, a law student, and Ragini, a loud-mouthed and bold who loves Anurag, who graduated from London. Shrishti’s marriage was fixed with Anurag but Ragini forcefully marries Anurag, and Shrishti marries Anurag’s brother Vishu. The show is aired on &TV in India and in Pakistan, this show is aired as “Mujhse Shadi Karo Gay”. She was appreciated a lot for her work in this TV series.
