Tanuj Mahashabde is a very popular and talented actor who mainly acts in Hindi Television serials and Hindi Movies. Tanuj was born on 24^th July 1980 in Dewas in Madhya Pradesh. The versatile Tanuj is an engineer by profession. Yes, he is a Diploma holder in Marine Electrical Engineering and also holds a degree in Sound Recording and reproduction. Tanuj is still single and has been living with his dad in Mumbai. Tanuj has a brother, who is settled in Indore.

Tanuj Mahashabde started with Theater as he still believes that it is one of the best medium to display one’s acting skills in front of live audience, and theater also provides an actor the scope to gain confidence and sharpen his/her acting skills and overall helps to grow oneself as an actor. In the year 2008, he was spotted by a leading television production house and was selected for playing the role of Krishnan Iyer in the Sab TV’s hit and super successful comedy show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah since the year 2008. The show is going strong till date and so are its characters including that of Krishnan Iyer- who is a south Indian neighbor to one of the prime character of the show Jethalal and who helps and stands through all thicks and thins with Jethalal’s family. The character is very much liked by the audiences and has won many accolades. Krishnan Iyer has also won many fans due to his typical south Indian dialect or accent.

In 2016, Tanuj won Kala Gaurav Awards held at Pimpri, Chinchwad in Pune. In the same year, Tanuj helped a Teenager to reunite with his family. He helped Nazrul Malik, a teenager to his relative’s residence Borivli. He fed him with Faluda and Sandwich and also asked him about his details in Bengal. He and his friend collected the details of Nazrul Malik in Whatsapp and took him to the police station. Tanuj is very kind-hearted and helps the needy and poor. Everyone praised Tanuj for his benevolence and responsibility on reuniting Malik.
