Sooraj Thapar is a veteran actor in the Indian Television Industry. He is famous for portraying the role of comic character Mr. Saxena in the TV series Shree Sifarishilal that focuses on red tapism and bureaucracy it gets aired on SAB TV. Hailing for Jallandhar in Punjab he is a veteran actor who has acted in a lot of telefilms and his work has earned him critical acclaim. Thapar has acted in the TV series Hum Saath Saath Hai which had been very successful and was being aired on Life Ok it was aired from 2001 to 2003. He has worked alongside the famous Bollywood actress Poonam Dhillon in the TV series Ekk Nayi Pehchaan where he rehearses the role of her husband. Besides acting onscreen he is also a famous theatre personality and has acted in a lot of plays amongst them is The Perfect Husband where he has acted besides Poonam Dhillon and the play was screened in Ranchi. Recently he was offered to play the role of Vibishan in the TV series Mahakumbh which is aired on Life Ok. Thapar has also rehearsed the role of Sultan Iltutmish in the TV serial Razia Sultan which got over after he declared Razia as the new Sultan. Thapar married actress Deepti Dhyani in the year 2012, she was working with him in the TV series Chandragupta Maurya. Currently Thapar is focusing on producing his own TV series, during an interview he stated working in TV series to earn a living and working in the theatre is a means of channeling his creativity.
