Erick or Nariman Eruch Avari was born on 13th April 1932 in Darjeeling, West Bengal. He is the successor to the family of Jamshedji Framji Madan, who was also an established personality in Indian Cinema. His father had movie theatres named the Capitol and Rink. He Erick was a student in North Point School and later, College of Charleston. He is a theatre artist and an actor. He has done umpteen TV shows and movies as well. He is known for his remarkable theatre performance as Vasquez in ‘Tis Pity That She’s a Whore and The Screens.
He has also appeared in commercial successes like Stargate,
, Home Alone 4, and The Planet of The Apes. He has worked with Kevin Reynolds’ as a lead in his movie, The Beast of War. He has displayed his comic timing in Adam Sandler's’ Mr. Deeds and For Love or Money.
