Anirban Dasgupta

Anirban Dasgupta, a Comedian from Bengal. Apart from comedian, he is also a writer and actor. He born in 1990, is from Kolkata (West Bengal), and graduated as a mechanical engineer from Pune University. He is one of the founders of Comedified, a legit comedy group of Kolkata. He quit his job as an assistant sales manager at Godrej to pursue comedy as a career in the year 2014.

He has been a part of several comedy shows in Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Bangalore, and plenty of other cities in India. He appeared in over 400 shows, including auditorium shows, college fests, corporate, and private shows. His comedy is on politics, various current affairs event, inter-community marriages, Social media, and corporate life. He has been doing standup comedy for ‘Laugh Club’ for 7 years.

He has written many comedy scenes including some episodes of Son of Abish in 2017. He has written Indian drama-comedy series named Afsos with two of his friends, which has gone on-air on Feb. 2020, and Acted in it as Dibakar. Afsos is Absurd, complicated, and painfully funny all at the same time. He featured many times by NDTV’s The Rising Star of Comedy and by India Today.

He interviewed by The Times of India, Telegraph, The Hindu, mid-day, and others. He appeared in some talk shows includes ‘The Otherside’ and ‘WTD Googlies.’
