Saurabh Saraswat is a phenomenal actor who stands out because of his versatility. Saurabh Saraswat, a powerhouse of talent, often opts to play unconventional roles and always emerges as a winner. Saurabh Saraswat was born on 7th August 1985 in Ajmer, Rajasthan, and has his roots from Uttar Pradesh. Saurabh has been passionate about acting since his school days, and he believed acting is his true calling. He has been a part of theater groups in school and college. Since he comes from an educated background, Saurabh was under pressure to take up a professional course. So, he graduated his engineering course from Jaipur and worked in the field of IT for three years in Delhi. All the while, he kept doing theatre and stayed dedicated to it. In 2010, Saurabh moved to Pune to do a PG Diploma in acting from the Film and Television Institute of India. Theatre acting laid the foundation for Saurabh Saraswat’s acting career and gave him the confidence to take up full time acting.

In 2012, Saurabh shifted to Mumbai and started his quest for roles. Initially, Saurabh appeared in a few episodes of the television series Crime Patrol.  His first enormous project came in 2014 when he got chosen to be a part of the International film CRD. Saurabh took intensive training for his role, Chetan, in the movie, which got released in 2016. The movie received refreshing reviews from the critics upon release and turned out to be a massive success. His next project, Gray, is a short film in which he took up the role of a homosexual. The short film centers on three characters, Nandhini, Rohit, and Zoel. Saurabh played the role of Zoel, who is Rohit’s gay partner. The movie achieved many notable accomplishments at film festivals, including being screened at the Cannes Film Festival 2018.

In 2019, Saurabh Saraswat appeared in Rommy Sen’s film Cat Sticks. Cat Sticks is a film based on drug addiction, and it gives out a powerful message to the audience. He plays the role of Deshik, a young drug addict. Cat Sticks took home the award for Best Film from Slamdance Film Festival and Mammoth International Film Festival. Besides, it got screened at various film festivals, including the Kolkata International Film Festival. Directed by Preet, Saurabh Saraswat next starred in the feature film Nameplate. Nameplate is a story about the journey of a couple in buying their own house. Saurabh plays the lead role of Sudhir Mathur in the movie, which also got screened at the Kolkata International Film Festival. Known for taking up challenging roles, Saurabh's next was a part of the psychological thriller web series Mafia in 2020. Set in the backdrop of the jungles of Madhpur, a group of six friends reunites after five years. But will the friendship between them remain the same? Mafia is indeed a seat edge web series released in ZEE5. Mafia won positive feedback from the critics and garnered a lot of attention for its gripping plot line.

Also, he appeared in the role of Salim in the film Interconnect. As a theatre artist, Saurabh Saraswat has written and directed two plays, namely An Unfinished Play and Shree Aur Blue. Besides acting, Saurabh also conducts acting workshops on the psychophysical aspect of acting since 2014. Saurabh Saraswat never leaves a chance to fascinate the audience with his intensive acting skills.
