Rampal Ji Maharaj

Rampal Ji Maharaj was born in Dhanana, Punjab, on September 8th, 1951, to Bhakthmati Indradevi and Bhakt Nandram. He wed Anaro Devi and had four children, two boys and two girls. For 18 years, Rampal was a junior engineer in the Government of Haryana's Irrigation Department before he began his religious activities. The acknowledgment of an Indian religious cult leader was given to Rampal Singh Jatain throughout his spiritual journey. Rampal was Swami Ramdevanand's student, a Hindu saint from the Garib Das Panth sect who chose Rampal to be his successor in 1994. Furthermore, Rampal Ji Maharaj and his supporters founded Satlok Ashram in Rohtak, Haryana, in 1999, and several smaller ashrams followed.

To increase the already burgeoning fame of his religious group, he wanted to create a spiritual center in Betul district, Madhya Pradesh, spanning around 70 acres of land. This proposed location was designed to accommodate approximately 50,000 people and feature two lakes, along with a state-of-the-art and awe-inspiring infrastructure. Rampal asserts that he is the highest God and an incarnation of Kabir, an Indian mystic poet from the 15th century. Rampal advocates vegetarianism and discourages the use of meat, cigarettes, and alcohol. He also preaches against visiting temples, receiving dowries, and worshipping idols. By adhering to his beliefs and paying him respect, his adherents believe they can find salvation and escape their suffering.
