Nikhil Varma

Nikhil Varma is an Indian sound designer and recordist. He has been a Managing Partner at Moleculz Studio in Kochi since September 2016. Nikhil Varma lives in Ernakulam, Kerala, India. He went to ‘The Choice School, Kochi’ in Kerala to complete his education. He took a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Audio Production from the ‘SAE London – Middlesex University.’ He is multilingual. He knows English, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi languages.

He is a qualified sound engineer. He is excellent in creative direction and radio production. Nikhil Varma can edit audio at a face pace using protocols and Nuendo and design sound for narratives and interactive media. He has relevant skills in Web design, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Digital Marketing and is interested in Media Planning. He also has experience in foley editing, track laying, and dialogue editing.

He worked as an internee at R.M. Productions (Jan 2008 – Feb 2008) in Chennai, India. He assisted engineers with music and voiceover recordings. He acquired experience in various studio miking techniques and fast editing techniques. He worked as the Sound Engineer at Red FM – Kal Radio Private Limited in Cochin Area, India. His responsibilities included recording, interstitials, initiatives, mix & master commercials, and radio dramas. Also, he gained experience in installing and managing the playout systems and broadcast console. He engaged as a Production In-Charge at RadioMe Network fzllc in Dubai. His duties included commercials, interstitials, jingles, etc.  He voiced many commercials in English and Malayalam languages and acquired experience in handling Studer On Air 2500 & Dalets systems.

He has been working as a sound designer & recordist since May 2013.
