Sajjad Ali is a versatile singer from Pakistan who is at ease with semi-classical, pop, rock type of music. His father Shafqat Hussain was a Pakistani film actor. Sajjad was born on August 24, 1966. He has sung for music composers Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Ali and Amanat Ali Khan. His favorite lyrics writer for his composer was always Hasrat Mohani, Momin, and others. He also released his first album 'Master Sajjad Sings Memorable Classics' in 1979. The album had 12 songs and turned out to be a hit. The singer is also known for several other hit albums such as Bolo Bolo, Teri Yaad, Paniyon Mein, Chief Saab and Mahiwal. The singer also did playback singing for Pakistani movies such as 'Bol' and 'Na Maloom Afraad'. Sajjad also tried his hand in acting and direction. He acted and directed in a movie ‘Aik Aur Love Story.’ Later he acted and had sung in movie ‘Munda Tera Deewana.' Sajjad also had directed his first TV series ‘Love Letter’ in 1989. He has also acted in and directed the film Aik Aur Love Story. He also has his recording studio in Dubai. After wowing audiences with his singing prowess, the musician Sajjad Ali has turned into a poet recently. He is prepared to release a compilation of his poems that he has sung in his 35-year long career. The singer is of view that quality of music has gone through a decline in the music industry. The musician recently featured on the popular music show Coke Studio in Pakistan for a second time this year. This singer is based in Aman, United Arab Emirates. He was married to Noreen. The 24-year-old singing sensation Sanchita Bhattacharya, who was brought up in West Bengal, now holds the title of ‘India’s daughter’ given by the very talented singer Shaan. Sanchita was born in 1991 and did her schooling from Shibpur Chatterjee Haat High School. A passionate learner always achieves great heights and so did she with her hard work. The Indian singer became the winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa L’il Champs at the age of 15. With 45 lakhs 23 thousand votes out of 1 crore 32 lakh votes, she became the first female winner by public’s decision. “I always wanted to become a playback singer” she was quoted saying after she was crowned as the winner. The joy which added to her achievement was that her crowning was done by the king of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. Shah Rukh was amazed at her singing and applauded her talent by regarding her as ‘the future of India.’ Along with the trophy, Sanchita also won a scholarship worth rupees 15 lakhs from Kidzee and a chance to cut her album. The judge of the show Bappi Lahiri praised her for her versatility and that she could sing anything from a bhajan to an item number. The Howrah girl then set her journey as a singer and was first signed by actor-director Rajat Kapoor to sing an item number for his film Mithya. Since then her melodious voice has been capturing many Indian hearts. She sang the song Koshampa, which portrays love for the motherland. Koshampa was earlier the name of a game but the director of the movie Kaanchi: The Unbreakable, Mr. Subhash Ghai named a valley after it displaying how the citizens show love for their place. Another song from the movie, Kambal Ke Neeche was sung by Sanchita along with the ‘Ishq Wala Love’ singer, Neeti Mohan. She has worked with the most famous playback singers like Shankar Mahadevan and Sukhwinder Singh in the movie Yamla Pagla Deewana 2. She has contributed as a playback singer in movies like Encounter(2013) and Bal Ganesh (2007). She also starred in Zee Tv’s popular serial ‘Ek Se Badkar Ek’. The proud father of Sanchita, Mr. Dhruba Bhattacharya told the country at the finale of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa that Sanchita was always interested in singing, and she wants to devote her entire life to it. Her heart always belonged to singing and so she trained herself for ten long years to be what she has always dreamed of. Hard work always pays off and so Sanchita Bhattacharya now lives her dream as she sings for various movies. This dedicated girl had made her parents proud and India too.
