Rohit Kumar Chaudhary popularly known as RCR is known for his singing and rapping skills. He was born in the holy city of Sikhs Amritsar, Punjab on 9th September 1996. He belonged to a middle-class family; his father, Mr. Kamaljeet Singh, worked as a mechanic and his mother, Rani was a homemaker and a part-time tailor. He had an amazing voice quality from the very beginning and expertise at the harmonium. He studied at Dayanand Anglo Vedic Senior Secondary School at Amritsar and dropped out of The Hindu College, Amritsar.

He got an opportunity to perform with his school’s musical group at India’s Got Talent, airing on Colors TV; they passed the auditions and were set to give their first performance on the stage of India’s Got Talent but luck does not always favor the best. When Rohit was fully ready to make his mark in the music industry, he suffered from a voice disorder due to continuous practice, his dreams were shattered as the doctor told him not to sing; he was shattered more when he saw his team went on to perform without him. But heroes never step down after a hardship they come back and the come back stronger.

Inspired by Eminem, Rohit started his singing career again with a variation in style, he started rapping. He was backed by his singing teacher who asked him not to leave this and keep following his passion. There was a time when his family had a financial setback, which led to the event of his dropping the college during the fifth semester and he moved to Mumbai to pursue his career. He started to support his family little by taking on small projects. He kept a small portion of that money with himself and the rest he used to send it back home. There was a time when he had no money to feed himself and he stayed in a room with more than 30 people in it.

Most of the people would have given up on their career by then but Rohit was different than most and had a different level of passion towards his talent. It took time but now Rohit had already found his way into the singing industry. During college, he wanted to participate in India’s Got Talent but could not due to Tonsils. However, he made his debut on the Television screen through a singing reality show on “Star Plus” named “Dil Hai Hindustani—Season 2” in 2018 in front of famous rappers like Badshah. He performed astoundingly and was a part of the top 6 but was eliminated after that because he forgot a word in his rap.
