Parul Mishra

Parul Mishra is a Hindi singer. He has worked with A.R. Rahman and sung for numerous films and albums. She was born in a small city in Uttar Pradesh. Parul started singing at the age of seven. She won a music contest in 2008.  Parul debuted as a playback singer with the title music of A.R. Rahman’s album ‘Ada- A Way of Life’ in 2010. She has worked in reality shows along with ‘Rock On’ and ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’, and has been among the finalists.  She released a track video popular as ‘Streets of Banaras’ in 2019.

Parul Mishra has made a name in the singing industry. She was born on 3 March 1992 in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. She specialises in playback singing, classical, semi- classical, and folk music. She knows Hindi, Bhojpuri, Maithili and Bengali. Parul debuted in the industry with the song Tum Bin from the movie Tum Bin in 2001. She has songs for the films Gangajal in 2003, Apaharan in 2005, and Welcome in 2007. Renowned organizations like The Times of India, Hindustan Times and Deccan Chronical published articles about her work, helping her gain media spotlight. Parul was completing her graduation in 2008 in Delhi when she tried her luck and gave an audition for a music contest whose winner was to be announced by A.R. Rahman himself. When she made it to the top 10 of the contests, her focus for the competition grew more vigrous. She reached top 5. On 17 November 2008, Parul was declared the winner of the contest by A.R Rahman himself. Since then, Parul has wholly devoted herself to music.
