Indian classical singer Pandit Uday Bhawalkar performs. He has a lot of experience in dhrupad music. Hindustani classical music is called Dhrupad, and it is from India. It is a traditional vocal style used in Hindustani classical music. Born in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, Uday Bhawalkar, as the youngest of three siblings. He learned how to play the piano from his older sister. At the age of 15, he was awarded a scholarship to the Dhrupad Kendra in Bhopal, where he studied under Ustad Zia Fariduddin Dagar and his late guru's elder brother Zia Mohinuddin Dagar in the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara (teacher-disciple tradition).
One of the eldest Dagar brothers, Ustad Nasir Aminuddin Dagar, received a gold medal for his first performance in 1987.
