Krishnakali Saha

Krishnakali Saha, an Indian singer and actor, is known for her beautiful voice and charming personality. She shot into the limelight after making her presence in a Reality TV Show, Indian Idol. Born to Pranab Kumar Saha and Aparna Saha on June 14, 1996, Krishnakali Saha is from Agartala, Tripura in India. She completed her schooling at Shishu Bihar Higher Secondary School and Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Agartala. Krishnakali pursued her engineering in Electronics and Communication major from Techno India in Kolkata.

Krishnakali’s mother is her source of inspiration and she is also a singer. Her mother imparted early music knowledge in her when she was only three years old. Then, she took formal training in various forms of music, including classical music. Krishnakali has received several awards and accolades for singing during her school and college time. Techno Group of India announced Krishnakali Saha as “The Voice of Techno.” Further, she is a proud National Scholarship holder for Classical Vocal. Krishnakali Saha worked as an artist in All India Radio for some time before appearing in reality shows.

Krishnakali Saha has sung for Doordarshan Kendra, Agartala. Krishnakali’s journey to achieve her dream didn’t happen overnight. She had gone through over ten reality shows only to face rejection. She took part in the reality show Dil Hai Hindustani season 1 but couldn’t advance further. In 2018, she finally landed a chance in Sony Entertainment Television’s singing reality shows Indian Idol season 10. Krishnakali enthralled the judges with her powerful singing in the introduction round. With her captivating singing, she was one of the top 12 contestants of the program.

But, unfortunately, she got eliminated from the Indian Idol show. Post Indian Idol, Krishnakali Saha’s life took a turn, and offers came pouring, recognizing her singing talent. She mentored the Assamese singing show Amar Bhupen Da Season 5. Also, she mentored and judged the kid’s reality show Superstar Singers. Another marvelous aspect of her career includes theater dramas. Krishnakali appeared in a minor role in the movie Indian Sweets and Spices. Krishnakali is working and is also teaching music. Krishnakali Saha made her debut as a playback singer in 2020 with the Zee5 original film Shukranu. She has sung the song Khwaab Hai ya Haqeeqat. She has released many albums like Tumi Jaake Bhalobasho, Sedin Dujone, and Mamta Teri from Naad. Krishnakali Saha’s has faced a lot of struggles in her road to Bollywood. But the one thing she constantly believes in is “HOPE.”
