Juhi Shekhar

Juhi Shekhar has a great career in the film and television industry. She has written scripts for various banners such as Anil Kapoor Productions, Planman Motion pictures, Ram Gopal Verma, and Yellow Pictures by Anand L Rai, etc. She has obtained her Higher School Certificate (HSC) from St. Michael Convent School, Mankapur, Uttar Pradesh. After that, she pursued her bachelor of arts in economics from Indraprastha College,

University of Delhi. In 2004, she enrolled herself in the Film and Television Production course offered by St. Xavier’s College of Mass Communication, Mumbai. For television, Juhi has written various screenplays like Gumrah; the show was awarded the best crime show at ITA and favorite crime Drama at Peoples’ choice.Her work in Star Plus’s Arjun got nominated for ITA in the best screenplay category. Ms. Shekar also wrote scripts for a Marathi show Tanishka for Saam TV.

She worked as 2nd assistant director on a dailysoap produced by UTV called ‘Bombay talking’ directed by Anand L Rai and broadcasted on Z café. She was an art assistant at Tahaan; it won Best feature film award - CIFEJ Award (Centre International du Film pour l' Enfant et la Jeunesse). She is currently residing in Mumbai, Maharashtra. She has been in various projects like working as an assistant director on Manish Jha’s feature film Anwar and Anand L Rai’s “Thodi life thoda magic”; and also she has worked in writing, co-production, and acting in a 15-minute short film on female child abuse named “MOAM” shown on NDTV Profit- The Indie Film Club. Juhi also united with actor Shahrukh Khan on an Ad film for Nokia.
