Tejal Prabhu, who goes by the pen name Mehak Mirza Prabhu, was born in 1982 in Maharashtra. At 19, her entire family met with a brutal accident on the Mumbai-Goa route, and the 19-year-old grew up overnight. She does not know how she survived that, but she excelled in her B.com exams, standing second in her college. Then she took over her father's business, an ad agency called Anand Graphics, on the verge of bankruptcy. She got married at the age of 22 and had a beautiful baby at the age of 23. With ups and downs, finally, at the age of 30, she got a divorce. Starting her career as an entrepreneur, she became a full-time writer, storyteller, voice-over artist, performer, and mentor.
She writes her own short stories and narrates in Hindi, Urdu, Marathi, and English. She also runs an online storytelling school named 'Jhumritaliaya' dedicated to merging the art form of classic storytelling with original stories. With her unique strength of audio storytelling through voice modulations, her storytelling act 'Zoya Ki Diwali' songs by Mohammad Muneem was listed as one of the 'Top 10 theatre acts of 2017' by the Mumbai Theatre Guide.
Her story 'Phir Mohabbat Karni Hai' performed at an event organized by 'Your Quote' in collaboration with Tinder has gained over 5 Million views across various digital platforms.
