Lajan Joseph

Lajan Joseph, aka Lajan Joseph Oommen, is a well-known Mumbai-based screenwriter. He is the Founder at Lightworks Creative, creating more masterpieces that leave a trace behind our hearts. Lajan's core strength lies in conceptualizing, scripting, and making content that someone can relate to even after ten years and still have a hearty laugh and cry while watching it. He has got a lot of recognition and appreciation for his works in movies like Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, and My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves. The screenwriter has also been awarded various awards like IIFA award for best screenplay, Filmfare for best screenplay, and Guild award for best screenplay, all the three awards for Munna Bhai M.B.B.S, which came out in 2004.

He is the man behind one of the most heart-warming films of all time, Munnabhai MBBS. Then he co-wrote Munnabhai MBBS with Rajkumar Hirani. He does not have any professional training, but he did a Diploma in Film/Video Production from the Xavier Institute of Communications (XIC), which helped him a lot during writing. Then he wrote that My Name is Anthony Gonsalves is an aspirational film, an everyman's story, about an ordinary guy, his dream to bring a change and his dream to become somebody.
