Mayank Rawat is an Indian Rapper, Electronic Music Producer, and Video Editor, known by his stage name Rongpaz. He was born on 2nd January 1994 in Chamoli, Uttarakhand. His stage name was derived from his community Rongpa to stand for the entire tribe across the globe. He completed his schooling from Doon Cambridge School, Dehradun in 2009, and then Graduation in BSC (CBZ) from University Of HNB, Garhwal. Later, in 2016, he completed his post-graduation from D.A.V (PG) College, Dehradun. By 2011, Mayank had begun his music career as a self-taught rapper-music producer by getting into ‘Hybrid Angelz’, a rock band based in Dehradun and doing stage shows with them.
At a later time, he made his full-time job by founding hip hop rap crew in Uttarakhand, D Emend Army. Some of his songs with them are Rongpaz vs the World (2014), Dehradun Rap Cypher (2016), Republic Day Rap Anthem, Mere Shabd (2016), Gaye Kyun (2016), Pehchan and Tasveer 2. A few of his other tracks with associates Parqar and UK Rapi Boy include Freeze (2024), Dhol Damau (2023), Sidha Mai Ladka (2021), Kameena Tu (2021), Saare Hi Baagh, Sach Bolta Hu, Khek -Ko (2021), Mujhko Chahiye Mehngi Gadi (2020), etc.
