Uday Prakash Singh

Uday Prakash Singh is an Indian Production Designer and Art Director. He was born in the city of Pratapgarh in Uttar Pradesh. Uday Prakash Singh completed his schooling at Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya at Khairagad in Chhattisgarh. He then proceeded to pursue his higher education at Sangeet sangyan, which is a University of Music and Arts. In 1999, Uday Prakash Singh graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts and a major in Painting. After his education, Uday Prakash Singh moved to Mumbai to start his career. Uday Prakash Singh’s first job as a designer was a romantic tragedy- ‘Devdas’ in 2002, which was directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

This movie allowed him to get a foot in the Bollywood industry and go on to work on famous movies. The following year, Uday Prakash Singh worked on ‘Baaz: A Bird In Danger’ which was his first project as an Assistant Art Director. Uday Prakash Singh has been nominated twice for an award. The first was in 2018 when he was nominated for the Zee Cine Award for the movie- ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. Uday Prakash Singh was also nominated in 2021 in the category of Best Production Design for the film- ‘ Aashram Aashram is an Indian Hindi crime drama web series >> Read More... ’ during the OTT Filmfare awards.
