Shomik Basuray works in the entertainment industry as an ad film producer, writer, product manager, and assistant manager. He produced the UTV Bindaas show Beg Borrow and Steal for two seasons. He's been in the industry for over seven years. He worked as an assistant manager for Titan Industries Ltd in 2005 and product manager in Big Music and Home Entertainment in 2010. Currently, he works as an advertising film producer for Bombay Film Company. Shomik got his bachelor's degree from the Jamanlal Bajaj Institute of Studies in 2005. Shomik and his batchmate Varun formed The Bombay Film Company in 2011, which is performing pretty well in the industry. Basuray began his career with minor corporate advertisements. He spent almost two years working with reputable companies. Shomik is a complete cinema fanatic, which drew him into the industry. The writing was also a passion of his, and he worked as a writer on various projects. Shomik enjoys reading literature and traveling in addition to filmmaking.
