Ramchandra is a director, producer and screenwriter. He was born in 1965 in Udupi, Karnataka. He completed his graduation from Mangalore University. He was preparing for Law and CA; he dropped and joined the Film and Television Institute of India. He has received many awards: Swarna Kamal (Golden Lotus), Best Short Film and Best Indian Film. He worked on many documentaries: The Unbearable Being of Lightness, Lohit Diary, Gudigeri Compay, BV Karanth: Baba, Rice and Rasam (Anna Saaru), A Pinch of Salt, Miyar House, Floating Healers, Nuts and Bolts Despite Distortions, The Untouchables, Makkala Panchayat (The Kid Power), Shaky souls Empty Chairs Testing Times, Bharatha Uvacha (Thus spoke Bharatha), Virus No. One, Kodavas – The Worrier race, My Banjara Diary, Gently Down The Stream, Voices from Mini Tibet, Siri Festival, Sarvodayagrama and Durga Pooja. He also worked on short fiction: Double Life, Tiku Tiku Director (The fragile director), Khana Khazaana (The treasure meal), Mister and Mistress, Babe Se Date (Date with a babe), Mani Bhai Pass Hogaye? (Did brother Mani succeed?), Out of Tune, Heart Troubles of Ramchand Yavathmal Tiruchirappalli Azamghar and The Hot Shot.
