Modi holds a degree in Bachelor of Commerce. He started his career with acting. He also was a technician and worked as assistant director before producing serials. For a Gujarati professional stage show, Modi was a lightning designer. In many regional languages, he was in the creative department and did the production of many serials. He has done many shows on Gujarati TV with literature experts also. Modi and the team from ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ were among the first nine people to get nominated for promoting the Clean India Campaign started by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Asit Kumar Modi is the founder of Neela Tele Films. It is a TV production company started in 1995.The Company began production with ‘Hum Sab Ek Hai’. Later it continued with various shows in different categories be it drama, comedy, poetry serials or reality shows. Modi has won Lion’s Award from Lion’s Club, Mumbai. Besides he has also won the Indian Telly Awards and Indian Television Academy Awards. Asit was also the part of the fifth National Conference by HR club. Modi was also actively involved in various inter school and college competitions during this school and college days. These include IIT, Mood indigo, Malhar, and Mumbai youth festival and so on.
