Ram Ganguly

Ram Ganguly was a famous Indian music composer who worked mainly in the Bollywood film industry. Born on 5 August 1928, he was a disciple of Ustad Allaudin Khan and started learning Sitar at a young age. In 1946 and 1947, he worked in the movies Maharana Pratap and Mahatulsi Vrinda, which barely came into notice. His first renowned song was Zinda Hoon Is Tarah Ki Ghame Zindagi Nahi, sung by Mukesh. Ram's next and last movie with Prithviraj Kapoor was Barsaat in 1949. Some of the best films by Ram Ganguly as a composer are Banwasi in 1948, Jalsa in 1948, Anmol Moti in 1949, Ram Darshan in 1950, Deepak in 1951, Sangam in 1954, Gawaiyaa in 1954, Paisa in 1957, and 10 O'Clock in 1958.
