Pooja was born on the 25th of March 1988 in Hyderabad and brought up in Mumbai. She calls herself a “typical Mumbai girl.” She received her schooling from Divine Child High School and completed her graduation in Bachelor of Management Studies(BMS) from Malini Kishore Sanghvi College of Commerce and Economics (also known as Ritambhara College) in Juhu.

Her zodiac sign is Aries. As hobbies, she pursues singing and photography. Red and black are her favorite colors. Her favorite travel destinations are Dubai and Goa. It went on for four days, and her turn came on the last day. She got shortlisted. Apart from that, she has also modeled for commercials of Francis Alukkas, Tata Sky, and Cadbury.

In 2013, she stepped into Bollywood with her first movie Nautanki Saala!She also acted in two other films, namely, DostiAurParivar and SapnoKeAage. She received Filmfare nominations for the Best Debutant Female and the Best Supporting Actress for these three movies.
