Namratha Hegde is a Kannada actress who is from the USA. She hails from a place called Bondel, in Mangalore. She has done her rest of the schooling in Dubai. She is a model turned actress. She had her graduation in MBA from Ohio University. She later was inclined towards the acting and filming career; she took her graduation education in the most popular course from "Anupam Kher's acting school".

She addressed in an interview and disclosed her reason for getting into the film industry and it was the creative things that interest her to the maximum. She is known for her acting in 5 idiots, a Kannada movie which was directed by the world's younger director and child actor Master Anand. She made her debut acting in Kannada movie called "Ellellu Neenu Nannallu Neenu" which was directed by Richard Castelino in the year 2010. She is known to be the latest edition in the Kannada i. e in the sandalwood industry.

She is known to have travel between Mumbai, Bangalore, and Mangalore between the different movie productions. She is known to have acted in many languages like Tulu movies, Kannada movies and as well in Tamil movies. In her Tulu movie, she is known to have acted in the second leading role in one of the Ram Shetty's movie called "Bangarada Kural". She tells that she always remains indebted to the Tulu movie industry for revealing her potential to the fullest extent and praising her plus points to increase confidence. Her known Tamil movie is "Sompa", in which she is known to have been a lead actor, which is to be released soon.

She is very keen to promoting her film "Sompa" in a very big campaign platform to reach maximum viewers, as many respected and talented Hindi movie actors as well many Tulu theater artists have taken part in that, which makes the movie even more special and outstanding.
