Meenakshi Verma is popular for playing dadi/nani (grand mother) roles on screen. She is an Indian actress who worked in both Television as well as Movies. She acted in the legendary serials of all times “
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi
” that aired on Star Plus for almost 5 years. She was also seen in the serial “Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam” that aired on Colors TV from 2009 to 2010. Her other serials were “Ganga Ki Dheej”, “Gunaho Ka Devta” and a few more. The next major role that she received is to play mother to male lead in the serial “Shubh Vivaah” aired on Sony TV. Hers was an important role as she exercised full control on her son (male lead of the show) and influenced him while taking decisions.

Meenakshi also played a cameo role in the serial “Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon”. She played the character of a caretaker for mentally handicapped Raju (male lead).
Meenakshi Verma also acted in the Hindi movie “Life in a Metro” as Minakshi and in “Straight from the heart” movie as Pushpa. Her other Hindi movie is “Dahek: A restless mind”. In Dahek she was the mother of female lead. Her role in the movie was different from her other roles which she played till then.
Though she played many roles, she is widely remembered as Kaushalya from Shubh Vivaah.
