Ankita Makwana is an Indian film producer, model, and an actor. She is also a motivational speaker who likes to enlighten the masses. She was born in Zurich, Switzerland in the year 1987. However, she paved her path in the Indian film industry eventually.
Ankita is a budding actress who also has experience in modeling, motivational speaking, and production. She owns two production houses AM Films and Rebelmango. Born in the city of Zurich, Switzerland, Ankita is the daughter of the J.H Makwana. Her father is the Honorary Consul-General of India for the Vatican City and Zurich.
She was brought up in Zurich from where she completed her schooling. For further studies, she went to the northeastern city of St. Gallen from where she completed her higher education. She graduated from the University of St. Gallen with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.
After her graduation, she lived in cities like Paris, Geneva and later on found a way to Mumbai. At a tender age, she anchored an episode of Euro Zindagi (1998) for Zee TV UK. In 2006, Ankita came to India and started taking formal acting lessons in Mumbai at Kishore Namit Kapoor's Acting Lab.
After some time she worked in advertisements for Universal Mobiles and Ford Ikon, she also was a part of small films. Ankita got her chance in Bollywood through the 2008 film Kidnap; she did a cameo with the character Tisha alongside Sanjay Dutt directed by Sanjay Gadhvi. Her modeling career was a success; she was a cover model for Swiss magazine, Annabelle.
She had also done photo shoots for German papers, Schweitzer Illustrierte and 20 Minuten. The list goes on; she was also a model for the brand 495dm exclusive and Schatzinsel. In 2013, Ankita gave a motivational speech in Zurich at the TEDx conference, her focus during the speech was about building your world. In 2016, she appeared in the Rajeev Jhaveri directorial, Fever.
The thriller also featured Rajeev Khandelwal and Gauhar Khan. Entirely shot in Switzerland Ankita played the role of Grace Soni. Ankita is also an excerpt writer for interactive short films like Sad Santa and Verloren. In 2015, she wrote, produced and acted in a Swiss TV series, Zurich 8001. It was the first English speaking TV series shot in Switzerland; produced by AM films.

Ankita is a simple brimming bundle of joy, bounteous and gallant. She appeared in TV shows like ‘Akbar Birbal’ and ‘Pavitra Rishta.’ She also became part of a film called ‘Saturday Night.’ Ankita has also featured in a local Marathi movie ‘Amcha Nadi Lagu Naka’ as the main lead, released in 2016 directed by Deepak Tiwari, Urvashi Kotyan wrote the screenplay of the movie.
Despite being a part of known daily soaps and movie, Ankita is yet to find a consolidated role for herself in the film industry. According to Ankita, she has had both good and bad experiences in her life. She has a positive attitude, and every day is a new beginning for her.
She believes in forgive and forget. She is a struggling girl with her parents’ grace and her positive viewpoint towards life, and she is sure to shake the world.
