Ankita Bhattacharya was born on 18 September 2002 in West Bengal, India. In 2017 she participated in the first season of Star Plus’s Dil Hai Hindustani along with her mother, Shashwati. She released a rendition with her mother of their favorite song, Bhenge mor ghorer chabi which is a part of Rabindra sangeet. She won the Jagjit Singh Award for Best Rising Singer at the 28th Annual Kalakar Awards 2020, where she performed a few songs too. She got featured in the Calcutta Times among other newspapers. She has also started doing shows in various colleges and has been a part of different live concerts. She was also a part of the music video Elo Maa Dugga which was a joint production by Eso Bondhu and Rooh Music. It featured 16 budding artists like her.
