Imran Rasheed

Imran Rasheed is an Indian film actor. He had also worked as a director and playwright. The languages he knows well are Hindi, English and Urdu. He also works with a theatre group named as “Rangbaaz Group” in Mumbai. Irshaan got married on 7 may 2017 with Sheeba Siddiqui. Imran’s hometown is Bulandshahar, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his high school from Aligarh Muslim University. He also did his higher studies from the same institution.

He started “Rangrez group” in Bombay. With the same group he had performed many acts that are very famous and it has witnessed many houseful shows making it one of the successful groups who work passionately for theatre.

This group had performed in one of the great institutions, “IIT Bombay”. In 2014 they did a show named “pitras ka ras” (a comedy play) at IIT Bombay. Maximum of the plays of the group are directed by Imraan Rasheed , also he had been playwright to many plays.

He had also played roles in many famous and interesting plays like Ek Punjabi ye bhi,bade miya diwaane ,dude bhagwaan zinda hai,etc which are all creation of Rangrez group. In 2014, Imran worked in a short film “Blouse” as a main lead, directed by Vijeyanta kumar. The film won best script award in Jaipur international film Festival and best short film award in New York Indo-American Arts Council Film Festival.

This short film was afterwards added to a film named as “Chaar cutting”. Again in 2014, Imran worked in another short film as a lead role. The name of the film was “Haircut” which was directed by Anand Tiwari Anand Tiwari was born on May 29, 1983 in Mumbai, M >> Read More... and Sumit Vyas. This film was rated 7/10 by imdb. In 2017 Imran worked in another film, “Bhasmasur” as a lead role, which was rated 8.1/10 by imdb.

This film was directed by Nisheel seth. Imran has done some other short films like “ Laxmi Story coming soon >> Read More... ” but these three films (Blouse, Haircut and Bhasmasur) are the somewhere the reason for which he is known. Imran started his career as a theatre artist, he had seen many ups and downs in starting, sometimes tickets weren’t sold out, sometimes the institute where his group had to perform suddenly cancelled the plans and many other things but Imran didn’t gave up and he continuously tried with his group to work more harder to achieve the heights and let his group succeed in all ways.
