Hashmat Khan

Hashmatulla, commonly known as Hashmat khan, was born in chilling cold weather of Kabul, Afganistan. When he was born, no one could have ever imagined how bright that star will shine. One day soon, making their family proud and the date which most of us has to remember is March 2nd, which remarks the birth of that star.

As the time elapsed, his keen interest in acting and the desire to become actor grew more and more, he could visualise everything from start the story, the locations, the songs, the actors, the drama and many more, which he will be doing while shoot. But, his desire was not at all was considered serious by either of his parents nor by any of his friends, they just had a mindset, that this is just a phase in his life and he will sooner or later forget that.

At a very young age of 16 years, he was once offered a choice of going either abroad or stay here in India and carry out his further higher studies. But, to surprise everyone, he chooses India just because he could remain attached to bollywood and soon he joined P.G.D.A.V. college in New Delhi where most of his family members used to live.

He also started engaging himself in various outdoor sports, which he considers to be his second love. He was an athlete from starting and has won many medals for his College and he was selected as the best athelete of the year in continuing years. But, after this incidence took place, most of his close mates thought and in other words, felt relieved that he has forgotten his dream to become an actor.

As soon as he finished his BA, he thought to move to Mumbai just to start his career in film industry but, his father always thought that one day, he could become a great politician. Father and son had a deal in such a way that both their wants could be satisfied and the deal was: that if he completes his MA in political science, he was allowed to persue career in film industry.

How can anyone let their dream be left out and never try to achieve them. He was someone who could never sacrifice his dreams for just a degree, so he finally completed his MA and started his journey to Mumbai. Everyone knows how difficult it is to get in bollywood, so at first, when he started off his work, he was handed over a lot of modelling work from various big companies like Avis jeans, chirag din, wills and etc. But even after that much workload, he was very successful.

He took various acting lessons from Asha Chandra's world-renowned acting academy. While he was performing something, the king of comedy, Mr. Jonny Walker noticed him and signed him for a lead in his forthcoming film named "Pahuchay Hue Log." He was asked to sign certain exclusive contract for 3 years with Mr. Amjad khan but due to some reason, he passed away just before he was able to finish of his project which gave Hashmat the freedom to sign contracts and films with various other directors and work with them.

He has established Rahimi films International in 1955, and is one of the members of The Association of Motion Pictures and TV Producer. Once his dream was fulfilled to become an actor, he started directing and producing films namely like " Sitara Bio Coming Soon... >> Read More... ," "Dear Afghanistan," and "Roya."

He has been thinking and planning to setup an institute for film industry which could have all the latest technology and could be one of the best institute with everything for the talented ones who seek to fulfill their dreams.

He is presently living in Kabul, Afghanistan and is busy in his works with films like 'Spring of Hope' and 'Prem Duand,' which are to be shot in Pashto and in Hindi with Indian stars and technicians, respectively.
