Hameed Sheikh

Hameed Sheikh was born in Quetta, Balochistan on 28th December 1969. His career was set in drama and acting as he started out in theater schools and acting classes. He appeared in the hit drama ‘Naqab Sang’ in 1984. He bagged a leading role in the TV series ‘Pezwan’ after returning to theater after his stint in drama. Later, he became famous for working in ‘Zangeer’ and ‘Wapasi’.

He worked as a freelance producer, translator, and cameraman alongside Nic Robertson of CNN. He produced a Malaysian movie called ‘Quasi and Leila.' He started producing and making his movies, like, ‘Holy Sinner’, a short movie highlighting the plights of Taliban. Although he had established himself outside, Pakistani serials and film roles attracted him, and so he returned to work with the biggest names in Pakistan, making films like, ‘ Ishq Ishq was a live music show aired on Surya Music. He also traveled to Malaysia for producing ‘Mehman’, a serial in 2009. Also in 2009, he acted and produced the Shaun Dooley starrer ‘Kandahar Break’. He also worked on a US project in 2011.
