Jamal Shah is a tremendous and renowned Pakistani actor, director, musician, writer, sculptor, painter, and social activist. He was born on 1st March 1956 in Quetta, Pakistan. He did his education at the University of Balochistan, the National College of Arts (NCA), Slade School of Fine Arts. He is married to Amna Shah. In the year 1984 Shah founded the fine arts department at the University of Balochistan and headed it until 1986. He was also the first chairman of the Artist Association of Pakistan.
In the year 1992, Shah made his debut as an actor in the film K2 after which he made the movie Ho Mann Jahaan, and in 2016 he made his directorial debut with Revenge of Worthless. Apart from working in movies, Shah has also worked in several television dramas some of which are Madar, Parosi, Traffic, Barish Kay Baad, Chunri, Aag, Tere Ishq Naam, and many as such. In 2021 Shah was awarded the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Minister of Culture. Shah has also served as the Federal Minister of Culture in the Kakar Cabinet.
