Thounaojam Strela Luwang is an Indian television anchor, social activist, model, and beauty pageant title holder. She has crowned the second runner-up at Femina Miss India 2023. She represented her home state, Manipur, at the Femina Miss India 2023. She also won two other sub-titles at the Femina Miss India 2023, which are Colorbar Miss Glamorous Look and Trends Miss Style Icon. She won her pageant, the Miss Manipur pageant held in 2017. She was also among the top five finalists at the Miss Diva Northeast 2016–17 pageant. She was a part of an educational film, Who Said Boys Can't Wear Makeup? Directed by Priyakanta Laishram, which was the first-ever Indian film on gender-neutral fashion and men's make-up released in 2018.
Apart from her performances in beauty pageants, she also works as a social activist for mental health issues related to gender equality and in a "child-friendly" education system. Thounaojam Strela Luwang was born on June 5, 2001, to Thounaojam Ratan Luwangcha and Ashalata Chingsubam. He belongs to the Thounaojam family and the Luwang clan of Meitei ethnicity. She is the sixth child of eight siblings. She is native to Uripok Bachaspati Leikai of Uripok town in Imphal, Manipur.
Strela completed her schooling at Little Rose Higher Secondary School, Imphal, and studied international business at Manipal University, Jaipur. She worked day and night to build up her future career, driven by a strong desire. She loves music, playing guitar, kalimba, and ukulele. Thounaojam has had attacks of epilepsy and anxiety in the past and was diagnosed with depression at an early age. At the age of 10, she found the art of writing. She used social activism to create social awareness of mental health issues.
