Prashant Chawla is a stunning model turned actor from India. He was born on November 9, 1979 and hailed from New Delhi. He is a Chartered Accountant graduate and a scholar. Aside from that, Prashant is also a champion in skating. Prashant wanted to be an actor but his family is not into acting so when he finished college, he works in Ernst and Young as a Chartered Accountant. Later on, he started his career as a model and he was luckily selected in Grasim Industries’ Mister India 2004 where he got the Best Smile award.

After studying college, he also finished an acting course in National School of Drama in Delhi with Professor Rita Ganguly and then he moved to Mumbai. Prashant has done more than 50 advertisements and became a regular face in the world of ad enterprises. He did some print ads for Touchtel, Sony, Economic Times, LG and several brands. His very first commercial ad was for Creambell Ice Cream along with Saif Ali Khan.

Subsequently, he was debuted as a film actor through the Hindi romantic-comedy movie, Jhoota Hi Sai by , where he bagged the role of Uday, the unashamedly gay friend of Siddharth Arya (played by ). He gained positive response from his acting and started to receive more offers.

Later, he made his venture to the television world by playing main lead roles in some of the drama and high TRP serials. His first break in a parallel lead was from Zee TV’s . He was also seen in Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa and Waaris. He essayed the role of Mahesh Gheewala in Playtime Creationn’s Teen Bahuraniyaan on Zee TV, opposite with Payal (played by ). Prashant acted in a supporting role as Teji in Endemol’s Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi on STAR One. The actor also played a negative role in the television series, on STAR Plus in 2011. He is also part of the soap, ‘Ek Veer Ki Ardaas… Veera’ on STAR Plus, where he played as Sahil, the son of Nihal (played by Kapil Nirmal).

Prashant got married in December 3, 2013 to Karishma Birdy, his long-time girlfriend. The private wedding was held at Mumbai and the couple invited few friends like Manish Raisinghani. Aside from the traditional marriage, the two also got a court marriage with a reception held at Mumbai and New Delhi.
