Nitisha Dudeja is an Indian modal born on 29th August 1955 into a Punjabi family in Ghaziabad, Utter Pradesh. Although she was born with a severe hearing deficiency in both her ears, it was not an obstacle in her life. Through hard work and dedication, she achieved great heights despite her weakness. She studied at Ambience Public School and completed her graduation in Commerce from Sri Venkateswara College of the University of Delhi.

She was an all-rounder during her school days and participated in extracurricular activities. She was pretty active in sports from the beginning, and at the age of seven, she joined Judo classes and won many medals at the state and national levels. She played Tennis at the international level and represented India three times. She took part in the Deaflympics-2013 ( Sofia, Bulgaria), the World Deaf Tennis Championship-2015 ( Nottingham, UK), and the Deaflympics-2017( Samsun, Turkey).

In 2018, she became the first Indian girl to win the Miss Deaf Asian crown when she won the prestigious title of-Asian beauty pageant 2018 held in Prague. She also won various awards and recognition. On 3rd December 2018, Dudeja was conferred with the National Award for the Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.Â
