Preeti Sompura

Preeti Sompura is a known face among all the journalists in India. She hails from Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She completed her graduation from the University of Mumbai with a degree in B.Com and started her career at 17. After working with "Gujarat Samachar" and "Punjab Kesari" in the print media sector, she transitioned to digital media through "Alfa Gujarati." Then onwards, she never had to look back. She emerged as a prolific correspondent after covering the tragic terrorist attacks of Mumbai on 26/11. Apart from that, she was also responsible for covering several international affairs in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, and Syria. Preeti has an in-depth experience in journalism that spans over two decades.

She has proficiency in developing a reliable information network, which is one of the basic requirements of the profession while dealing with the public. She has experience in coordinating with various departments of channel operations. Plus, her ability to cover stories abruptly with accuracy and excellent communication skills has led to her immense popularity. She has worked with multiple reputed media houses in India across various roles, such as– NewsX (under ITV Network), News 24, Zee News, TV9 network, etc. In addition to that, she has served as the senior editor of India TV for more than two years. At present, she has embarked on a new journey in the journalism field with Network 18, where she is assuming the role of a senior associate.
