Bhawana Somaaya

Bhawana Somaaya is an Indian film journalist, film critic, film historian, costume designer, author and a noted editor of Screen. Bhawana started her career as a film reporter in the late 70’s. She later began working with many popular film magazines in 80’s and 90’s of her career. Bhawana became a noted editor of the popular magazine from 2000-2007 Screen. Bhawana was born on September 7 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Bhawana did her schooling from Our Lady of Good Counsel High School Sion, Mumbai, and Maharashtra. Bhawana persuaded her L.L.B in Psychology from Government Law College, University of Mumbai and then journalism from K. C. College, Mumbai. Bhawana in the start of her career worked for Film Weekly published by The Free Press Journal, Movie magazine published by India Book House, G published by Chitralekha Group until she became editor in the popular magazine Screen.
