Palki Sharma Upadhyay

Palki Sharma Upadhyay is a famous Indian journalist. The social media fame news anchor is well-known for presenting her strong opinions on sensitive topics. Palki gained a lot of experience in the journalism industry in a short time. She is the anchor of India’s news YouTube channel FirstPost. Upadhay was born on May 29, 1982, in Pilani, Rajasthan. Palki worked there for 11 years as a news anchor and senior editor. Then she joined WION, New Delhi as a news anchor and managing editor. She hosted the show Gravitas, India’s only international news and views prime-time show. She was also an anchor for the short Wion Wideangle: The Story of the Wuhan Virus (2020). Palki left WION in 2022 and joined FirstPost. She hosted FirstPost: Flashback (2023). Then she also hosted Between the Lines (2023).

Both the shows were a hit for her insightful views on complicated topics. For her notorious work in journalism, Palki received several prestigious awards. In the first place, she received the Best News Reader Award in 2007. Following that, she received Best International News Show for her show Gravitas at The Exchange4Media News Broadcasting Awards (ENBA) by E4M. In 2023, she received the Lokmat Stylish Award for Most Stylish Journalist. Palki also showed up in some foreign TV shows. First and foremost, she appeared in one episode of the Australian talk show Outsiders as a member of the discussion panel. After that, she appeared in the Australian news talk show The World According to Rowan Dean (2022) and the Russian news show Vremya. Palki is also a designer. She designed her Saree brand Reyva.
