The WWI Foundation was laid by Subhash Ghai who was a film-maker in 2001 and Meghna has been setting it up since its commencement. This school was built over 150,000 sq feet on five and a half acres in Mumbai Film City. Meghna Ghai Puri was able to mould this school into a world-class film institute because she has experienced two different countries' education systems and was able to build an international institute. Though problems were faced she overcame these problems with her husband. Whistling Woods International Institute came into operation in 2006 and has both national and international students. During five years of course she was made President of the Whistling Woods International Institute.
Meghna Ghai Puri led this school for two decades and has been ranked among the top 10 film schools in the world, said by a Hollywood reporter. Meghna worked up towards 100% scholarship to unprivileged students over $1 million. Whistling Woods International Institute was certified as a Global film institute in India by the Skill Tree Knowledge Consortium at the House of Commons in 2014. Meghna Ghai Puri expanded the school to various countries and states. In less than a decade she launched seven schools during WWI. Meghna Ghai Puri was relished with an Achiever Award at UK Parliament for her contribution to Media Education. In an interview, she conveys that she turned his father's dream into a reality.
