Amit Burman, Chairman of Dabur India Ltd, is in charge of Dabur India's foray into the processed foods business through the establishment of Dabur Foods Ltd. He graduated with honors from Cambridge University. He began his career at Dabur's industrial engineering department, where he worked on mechanization and packaging. He spearheaded Dabur’s venture into processed goods, which ranged from cooking pastes to fruit juices. Dabur Real and Homemade are becoming household brands because of Amit's efforts. He is also responsible for Dabur Foods' business strategy, development, and communications. Dabur Foods entered the processed foods sector with a line of ethnic culinary pastes and chutneys, as well as packaged fruit juices when Amit took over as CEO in 1999.

When Dabur Foods was amalgamated with Dabur India Ltd in July 2007, Amit stepped down as CEO. He was then named Vice Chairman of Dabur India Ltd. In 2019, he was appointed Chairman of Dabur India Ltd. Amit began his career with Dabur's Industrial Engineering Department. He was in charge of machinery introduction, process improvements, personnel reduction, and product packaging enhancement. Amit gained excellent expertise at Colgate Palmolive in New York, USA, where he worked in the Manufacturing Strategy Department, which served as the organization's internal consultant. He was in charge of research to determine the best site for Colgate's plants and warehouses.

He also worked at a Kansas facility that made soaps and detergents. In 1990, he received training at Tishcon Corporation in New York, USA, where he was in charge of stock safety and optimal inventories. Amit also has an M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Columbia University in the United States and a B.Sc. from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in Industrial Engineering. Amit is married to Divya, and they have a son and a daughter. He likes flying and has a private pilot's certificate. He is a fitness freak who likes swimming and spending time with his family. Burman invested in No Worry No Tension Healthcare, a firm that utilizes artificial intelligence to assess emotional well-being, in 2020.
