Gor Baghdasaryan is a director, editor, scriptwriter, music editor, and producer. Gor was born on 8th June, 1988 in Yerevan, Armenia. He is an award-winning filmmaker, video producer, and editor and has over ten years of experience.
He studied at Yerevan State University, Department of Philosophy and Psychology for his Master Degree in Philosophy, and he has his PhD in Cinema Theory from Yerevan State Institute of Theater and Cinema. He started to make films in 2002 in "Manana" Youth Educational-Cultural Center, where he was studying filmmaking and journalism.
He has founded Manana Films with his brother Mushegh Baghdasaryan Mushegh Baghdasaryan, born on July 6, 1990, in Yer >> Read More... in 2009 - a small production company. He is the executive director. Manana Films is specialized in the production and distribution of feature creative, and short documentaries, promotional films, and advertisements.
In his filmmaking experience, he has around 30 nominations and awards in international film festivals, including IDFA, Guangzhou Documentary Film Festival, and Al Jazeera Doc Festival. He has worked with clients like Google, Emirates Airlines, Sony Music, Amnesty International and United Nations.
He is experienced in producing, and directing documentaries, brand films, promo videos and advertisements. He has co-produced around five feature documentaries in different countries. His documentary, Hit the Road: India, was distributed in 35 countries. It was a bestselling documentary on iTunes in US and UK, and was named as “one of the best travel documentaries” by Huffington Post and Vanity Fair.
He is also the multimedia consultant of the United Nations since 2008 and is running filmmaking workshops in different countries together with UNICEF. Gor also partners with different international organizations and trains children and teenagers around the world on the filmmaking.
