Arjun Gourisaria

Arjun Gourisaria is an Indian editor whose contribution in the field of entertainment is enormous. He has also worked as a director, producer, and instructor. He is from Kolkata, India, and is an alumnus of the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. He has worked for both the Hindi and Bengali entertainment industry. His first work was “Patalghar” (2003), a Bengali sci-fi and fantasy film. It is one of the very few Bengali sci-fi films ever made. The film received a lot of appreciation from the audience because of the ‘musicality’ of the film.

Next, in 2009, he worked as a producer and an editor for the film “Sthaniya Sambad.” This film depicts the story of a Bengali poet from the post-partition period in Kolkata. This documentary film was mainly based on the life of one of Bollywood's playback singers, Sona Mohapatra and Deepti Gupta directed the film.

Another Hindi film edited by him was “Ek Bharatiya Fillum" (2015). Although the film didn't reach a lot of audiences, his work has been noticed by many. Along with directing, producing, and editing films, Arjun is a socially and politically active person. He is an outspoken person and is not afraid of presenting his views to the world.
