Antara Lahiri is a feature film editor in the Bollywood industry who has worked with renowned directors and actors. Her high regarded work caught attention in the Bollywood industry. Ms. Antara was born in Kolkata, India and did her schooling at La Martiniere, Kolkata from 1986-1988. She graduated from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata and did Mass Communication and Video Productions, Film Studies (1999-2000).

Later, she went to Mumbai and worked with MTV India production house for a year and a half. During that time, she realized that she is more interested in editing rather than directing. Hence, she did a Diploma in film editing from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. Meanwhile, she assisted few editors in Mumbai and later worked independently. During her initial days, she edited a short film called ‘Narmeen’ that won many awards like HBO short film competition grand jury award held at South Asian International Film Festival in New York and also Best short film award at the Indian Film Festival in Los Angeles in 2009.

She once assisted Nishant Radhakrishnan when he was an assistant editor in ‘Ghajini’ and later supported him for the movie ‘Road’. She also worked with Shan Mohammed on ‘Jhoota Hi Sahi’.

In 2011, her first independent feature film called ‘Gattu’ was released. It was a low-budget children's film and she gained a lot of experience from it. She believes that when editing a documentary, the whole thing revolves around the concept rather than the written script. From 2012 onwards, she assisted in a film called ‘ From Sydney With Love’ and later a movie called ‘ Mere Dad Ki Maruti’ under Y-Films productions.

Also in 2014, she helped Nupur Asthana(Director) in the film ‘ Bewakoofiyaan’ under the banner of Yash Raj Films.
